Career Planning and Development Programme

Insight HR has developed an innovative programme aimed at individuals who have recently become redundant. Our programme has been designed to provide participants with a multi-directional approach to career planning in challenging times.

Course Aim

By engaging at group and individual level participants will be able to identify future opportunities and new insights into the future development of their career.  On completion of the programme each participant will be scheduled to meet one of the course trainers for a one to one career mentoring session.

Course Duration

One day

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the programme participants will be able to:

• Define their transferable skills and abilities
• Prepare professional job application documents including cover letter and CV
• Complete a job interview with confidence


Programme Content:

• Identifying and establishing career goals and career direction
• Personality profiling and aptitude testing
• Planning and developing a job-search strategy
• Career networking to your advantage
• Developing core skills required for success in the jobs market
• Preparing job application documentation
• Preparing for and completing an interview with confidence
• Following up on job applications and using feedback to improve your future performance


Methodology

Training/Coaching will be based on an experiential learning model with learning transferred through trainer presentation, group discussion, one to one coaching, role play and assessment.  Each session will be highly participatory and practical with an emphasis on building confidence and increasing employability.
