Dignity at Work
Course Aim
Insight HR’s Dignity at Work Training for Managers is designed to deliver a practical, procedural and legal guide for successfully handling dignity at work issues in the workplace. The programme is participative and will focus on any dignity at work issues participants have in their own workplace.

Suitable for all business owners, managers and HR specialists who have responsibility for managing a situation where dignity at work issues such as, bullying and harassment, might arise.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this one day programme participants will be able to:
- Comprehend the legal framework and employer obligations relating to dignity at work
- Implement a dignity at work policy
- Identify and manage a complaint relating to dignity at work

- Legislative framework
- Outline of employers' responsibilities
- Define behaviours that constitute discrimination, bullying and harassment and sexual harassment

- Performance Management and Dignity at Work
- Dealing with a complaint – formal and informal
- Investigating a complaint
- Managing conflict
- Independent Mediation
Methodology
Training will be based on an experiential learning model with learning transferred through trainer presentation, case studies, role play, group discussion and practical exercises. Each session will be highly participatory and practical with an emphasis on building confidence to enable participants effectively manage any dignity at work issues in the workplace.
