Course Aim
This is a one day workshop designed to equip delegates with the skill and techniques required to effectively manage discipline or grievance issues in the workplace.

· Prepare, plan and manage a discipline or grievance meeting
Programme Content:
This programme covers:
- Overview of the legal framework and codes of practice relating to unfair dismissals, discipline and grievance
- How to manage employee performance and provide positive and negative feedback
- Outline of a discipline procedure and when it should be used
- Outline of a grievance procedure
- When and how to use the discipline procedure
- Maintaining correct records of the procedure
Methodology:
Training will be based on an experiential learning model with learning transferred through trainer presentation, case studies, role play group discussion and practical exercises. Each session will be highly participatory and practical with an emphasis on building confidence to enable participants to effectively manage discipline or grievance issues in the workplace.
