To provide participants with a general understanding of their legal obligations as employers and the practical application of these obligations in a workplace setting.

Programme Content:
This programme covers:
- An introduction to Irish Employment Law and Terms & Conditions of Employment.
- The Organisation of Working Time Act & its Implications for Employers.
- How to Manage Discipline and Grievances in the Workplace.
- Avoiding Unfair Dismissal Claims.
- Bullying, Harassment and Stress in the Workplace.
Methodology:
Training is based on an experiential learning model with learning transferred through trainer presentation, case studies, role play, group discussion and practical exercises. Each session is highly participatory and practical with an emphasis on enabling participants to manage their staff more effectively and within the law.
